What is transition?
Transition is the special name given to the area where you “transition” from run to bike and vice versa.
At the end of the first run you enter transition where your bike is located, you will then put your helmet on and take your bike to a designated mounting area. When coming back in from your cycle there will be a specific dismount area where you hop off your bike and walk/run into transition, rack your bike in the same area you collected it from earlier on, remove your helmet and exit transition for the final run.
* As per New Zealand law a helmet must be worn on the cycle leg also.
